White House Nears Final Voluntary Framework Giving Agencies 30 Days to Review Frontier Models Before Release

The US government is close to finalizing a framework under which Commerce and NSA will conduct up to 30 days of pre-release review for frontier AI models, with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google all involved in shaping the draft.
