Microsoft launches Project Perception and MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, its first purpose-built cybersecurity AI model

Microsoft unveiled MAI-Cyber-1-Flash, a compact model built for finding and remediating software vulnerabilities, and Project Perception, an agentic defense platform that coordinates red, blue, and green teams of AI agents for continuous risk reduction. The combined offering claims frontier-grade security performance at roughly half the cost of existing models, with public preview opening August 3.
