Nvidia in talks to guarantee 250 billion dollars of financing for an OpenAI data center

The Wall Street Journal reports Nvidia would backstop the lease and debt on a 10 gigawatt OpenAI site in Ohio, part of a project set to exceed 500 billion dollars. A deal would be the first step for OpenAI to own its own compute instead of renting from Microsoft, Amazon and Oracle.
