Delhi High Court rules OpenAI training ChatGPT on ANI news is fair dealing

In a first for India, Justice Amit Bansal held that storing copyrighted news content to train a large language model falls within fair dealing and denied ANI an injunction, laying down a framework future AI training cases will lean on.
