AMD opens Advancing AI 2026 with 2nm EPYC Venice CPUs and the MI455X Helios rack

AMD unveiled EPYC Venice, the first x86 server CPU on TSMC 2nm, alongside the MI455X accelerator powering a Helios rack with 31TB of HBM4, a direct bid to reset AI training and inference economics against Nvidia. Nvidia pre-empted the event by detailing its own Vera server CPU.
