China issues a global initiative for AI agent identity and interoperability at WAIC 2026

At WAIC 2026 China's Cyberspace Administration released a ten point Global Cooperation Initiative on agent mutual trust, interconnection and interoperability, proposing shared standards for agent identity and full lifecycle safety governance. It sets out a state guided alternative to the MCP ecosystem that leads in open markets.
