Amazon winds down Mechanical Turk and stops taking new customers

Amazon will close its 2005 crowdsourcing marketplace to new customers on July 30, ending an era of human microtask labeling as studies show a third to nearly half of Turk workers now quietly use LLMs to complete tasks.
