Gelato turns carrier onboarding from 5 days into 10 minutes with a CrewAI agent crew
The on-demand manufacturing platform built CrewAI agents that write, test and deploy carrier-integration code, cutting onboarding from 5 days to about 10 minutes. SKU-mapping timelines dropped more than 90%.
Gelato runs an on-demand manufacturing and logistics platform with 250 staff across 50 countries on a produce-locally, sell-globally model. The team built CrewAI agents that generate, test and deploy the integration code for each new shipping carrier, plus auto-map bulk product catalogs of up to 200,000 SKUs per printer and validate file uploads. Integrating a new carrier dropped from 5 days to roughly 10 minutes, SKU-mapping timelines were cut more than 90% (work that previously took 9 to 24 months), and carrier-integration effort fell about 99%. The lesson for a mid-market operations team: the highest-leverage place to put an agent is often the unglamorous integration glue rather than the customer-facing chat. This is a build-your-own path on CrewAI, chosen for control over a workflow specific to the business.
